Default Robbins Canvas Top Woes

All,

I thought I had solved my wear issues after switching to the CabrioWorld/Robbins Canvas top approx. 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately I have noticed some things over the past couple months which need to be publicized and addressed (by us and Robbins).

1) There are bubbles in the canvas on both lower corners of the glass, visible from the outside of the car. They may not photograph well, but believe me they are there.

2) While detailing the car I noticed that witht he top folded, I can see the window seperating from the canvas on the inside view of the top.

Needless to say I am VERY concerned about this premature wear. I have contacted CabrioWorld (whom I bought it from) and Robbins and am waiting on a solution. I will keep you all posted as I get more info.

Anyone else out there have issues with the Robbins tops?

That really sucks! I can't believe it's seperating like that...

I have to think they'll stand behind their product. This is the first complaint I've heard.

I just checked mine, still OK.

Contact SHANNON and get her input, she was one of the 1st to put it on.

Well, I have good news. Robbins will be replacing my top. I am very impressed with how they stand behind theor product.

In the time I sent a couple e-mails and went to lunch.....they responded and authorized the replacement. WOW.

Thanks to Jeff at CabrioWorld and the Robbins Top company.

This is a true testament to a commitment to great customer service.

p.s. Now to find an installer in the San Diego area. If anyone has a reference, feel free to respond or PM me.

My top is now 2 years old (GAHH) canvas top, it is wearing well, no signs of stiching issues, bubbling or anything else. I chose GAHH replacement because they are here in So.Cal and figured if I had a problem that it would be easier to deal with them locally.

David, I am glad Robbins takes responsibility for a defective top.

If your interested in a GAHH top, here is there link

Damn...good to hear that some vendors stand behind their product...wish they all did.

Are they paying for the installation too?
