Unhappy Rock broke AC condenser = Big $ to fix

Drove the car on the freeway this morning and a rock hit the lower front, at first I thought it was a little rock so I didn't really pay any attention to it, but then when I stopped my car, all the sudden I heard some hissing noise from the front, it sounds like it was leaking something, so I check my front tires, both were ok, then I checked the front grill and there it is.... a small hole in the condenser... I took my car to the dealer and I knew it's gonna cost.... but I didn't realized it gonna cost $900 to fix.... if it was an old car, I will just take it outside to fix it, but since it is still kinda new... I have no choice but to let the dealer fix it.. you guys think it's a fair price?

I had a tire weight into my condenser. It cost 600 to fix it.

Is there any advantage iin having Honda fix your car if they are going to charge for it anyway? Look for an independant garage and a better price.

Do NOT get this done at a dealer. It's just an A/C unit... they can do a BETTER job at a shop that works with A/C all the time. And even if they did screw up, what does it matter? They aren't working on your engine.

I bet you could half that price somewhere else. Some shops will even use better A/C fluids that aren't so eco-friendly. Shop around!

like everone said, it is a ripoff to do it at the dealership!!
but oh well... its in there anyways
if it was a honda specialty part, you would definitly go to the dealership
but in this case, any decent mechanic could have fixed it for alot cheaper
