Default Roll cage question

Well HOPEFULLY my Cusco 5-point will be in from Bulletproof very soon. I had a few questions (well maybe just one that's really important)
-When you installed it, was there any concern on hitting an ABS line when drilling through the floor? A friend of mine was talking to someone with the Spoon cage and he said he didn't even drill for the back legs of the cage because he was too afraid to hit the ABS lines. Is this true with the location of the rear legs on the Cusco cage? If anyone could provide me with any info, pics, whatever I'd appreciate it If you could take pics of where your legs are mounted on the floor, that'd be great. If you need to, you can e-mail me at: Stud146@hotmail.com

Thanx alot,
Chris

Just curious what made you pick a Cusco cage? Do a search on this forum if you want to find out the prevailing opinion on the safety of this piece of decoration.

Just kidding. Anyway, in a collision you are VERY likely to contact the bar. Hitting a steel tube designed to hold your car off the road with your head is likely to not only cause an unsightly deformation of your skull but is also likely to cause you to die in a very uncomfortable way. Unless you wear a helmet 24/7, I'd highly recommend you not put a cage in your car, especially not that one.

If you're so inclined to put in a roll bar, make sure you use sfi foam to cover it up to help protect your head. Not any foam, sfi.

Thanx everyone for all your advice. But I guess I won't have to worry about getting the foam because I only got a five point that doesn't go over your head towards the dash.

Look again. That bar 2 inches behind your head is easily struck in an accident.
