Default Roller bearings in soft top frame

Hey guys, I have a brand new soft top on my 02s2k and when I make left or right turns it sounds like there is one roller bearing that rolls around in the tube frame thats directly on top of your head (when the top is up of course). Its not noticeable but im being picky. Sometimes it doesnt even make any noises, has anyone else had this problem? If so how did you fix it? Im thinking about drilling a hole into the frame because my OCD is driving me crazy.

I've had that ever since I got my top & frame repaired (usual tensioner/tear issues) and I presume someone drilled out some pop-riverts and there are fragments of the old rivets trapped up there. Not much I can think of for it, although I considered drilling a small hole, injecting some epoxy, and driving around, jerking the car left and right trying the embed the frags in the glue.

Ultimately, I realized I always avoid having the top up anyway...

I've got it, too, ever since having the top replaced. Pisses me off when the top is up (luckily that is very rare).

There is a DIY which tells you that there are two openings you can pull a plug on to get the rivet pieces out.

The ends of the tubing should have plastic plugs in them.

For the tubes where you can remove a plug, unplug both ends of the tube; use a rubber-tipped blow gun with an air compressor to blow them out. I'd start with low pressure and gradually increase it so that you use just enough to get the job done.

look for the tube that slants down slightly at the ends and has black plastic plugs in it with black tape holding the plugs in. Remove the tape and the plugs. It's easiest to do this with the top half way down. With both plugs out, blow through one side, and the rivet pieces will fall out the other side.

i drove like this for years before I figured this out.

That sounds like more fun than using compressed air...
