Default Roof Mounting

OMG There must be someone out there who has had the same problem please? The screws have literally come out and I can't close the roof it's held on by one side! I need to know how to take the moulding off without damaging it to screw the the screws back in!

Even though this person makes no sense, I think they are talking about the screws that hold the button you press to release the roof latch. Mine actually just came off also, two screws came out, the little black peice that swivels which moves the latch fell off, and the button is just hanging on but doesn't press/depress it

I'd post a photo but don't know how to?? Yeah I know I'm rubbish :-) I can e-mail you a photo?

Thanks Ruthie

OK, I think I know what you mean now. Are the screws inside the molding? This happened to me once. You can take the molding off by first taking off the visor then pulling the molding away starting near the mirror and working your way down to the A pillar. (the part that goes from your roof down toward your mirror) BE VERY CAREFUL AT THIS POINT! If the screw is trapped between the molding and the A pillar, like mine was, then you have to be careful not to let it drop any further down. If it falls all the way down, it can go behind the dash. I have no idea how you would get it out then. The molding just snaps back in when you are done.
