was wondering if anyone knew or has heard about anyone using one of these rubberized coatings on their entire exterior of their roof. My coworker and I were wondering if products like "flex seal" or "dip kote" would last if sprayed on an entire surface. I have HVLP spaying equipment so if there is something other than aerosol cans with this stuff I could spray an even coat. After years of patching my roof from the interior the exterior is lately starting to show haevy wear. thanks

 

Sounds like an interesting experiment. I wouldn't expect good results. Most of these coatings aren't intended for the repeated folding/unfolding movement of the top.

Worst case, you'd need a new top which is probably what you should be looking into anyway.
