ROTA wheels

can't you just remove the center cap and put in a whole new authentic center cap (as opposed to a sticker) so it at least looks clean? btw if i had Rotas, i would have no problem with referring to them as Rotas. i'd be like "yeah, they're just Rota's but i wanted a nicer looking center cap"

i like these (if available in a 5 lug)

if not, i'd get these

but my first loves are still the Volk TE-37 in Ti gunmetal. unless i can get a killer deal on those i'm probably going to go with Rotas.
I guess these are Rota's version of those wheels:

you will get flamed for putting an authentic cap on some rotas.. just earlier, i spotted a DC5 with ADR rims (FAT ADR centercap) and he stuck some RAYS stickers on them.
i said outloud "omfg.. i hate ppl that do that $hit" and the owner was walking behind me, lol. IMHO, rota's do not bother me as long as the owner refers to them as rotas. please do NOT stick an authentic centercap onto a rota and call it authentic. if anything, just get rid of the centercap and paint the inside black.

rota torque had some issues in the past, but the company is good. They've taken care of that ever since.
Compare to some of the originals that they copied, which ranges from Volk, Works, to Mugen and Spoon, they are considerably heavier.
But at the price they sell their rims, it's a great bargain for a good looking rims that's not too heavy.

I've owned probably eight different sets of Rota's on all my cars and never had a problem - and they're a great bargain. I have had issues with the two sets of ADR's I've owned (not structural, but finish-wise). I would have no problem throwing a set of Rota's on my S2K.
I've used Rotas for years on my Civic, no problems whatsoever. I can't say the same for ADRs, which I had a set crack on me, so take that $0.02 FWIW. I think the best argument against Rotas is that a car like the S2000 deserves the best of the best, but I have too many other priorities in my life to spend $2k for wheels that I don't need.
I use to think if you could afford an S2K, you could afford a quality wheel. However, the more I think about it, I wouldn't want to drop a ton of money on a wheel that could just as easily bend as one that was a lot cheaper/easier to replace.
As for the centercap, I used to have some rota slipstreams on my 96 Integra and replaced the centercap with a Honda one that matched. The slipstream was dark gunmetal with a polished lip, and the centercap was black with a polished H and the outer edge was polished as well. I always thought it looked great but some people didn't like it. Here is a pic of what it looked like... sorry its a little big.
