Default Rotora Mini Front Calipers

I have been looking at various big brake kits. I like the Spoon calipers, but I have been reading you either have to buy new wheels that fit the calipers or use some kind of spacers with them.
The Rotora Mini set claims to fit with oem brake pads and fit under the oem wheels.
It also says that it will fit with any aftermarket rotors.
It sounds like a good kit. Anyone have experience with this kit?
Any input would be nice.

Here is a link to the kit Rotora Mini Kit

So are you saying that the stock brakes are good enough for autocross and road racing?
I also like the look of a BBK. MY question was is this kit any good. Does it perform as well as some of the other larger caliper kits?
It's easy to say save your money don't buy it. You can say that about almost any part for the S, but if someone wants the part or needs it for performance they may want some information on the part.

There has never really been any proven improvement with aftermarket big brake kits. I have used the stock brakes during autocross and they work fine. Believe it or not, the stock brakes on our cars are very good. They don't have enough time during an autocross run to heat up to the point where they would fade. You will get the best performance advantage by buying a really good set of brake pads for your stock calipers.

It sounds like you want the big brake kit for the looks, if that is the case, then go for it, it is your money. Just don't expect a huge performace increase in relation to the cost.

and dude believe me it's not worth the hassel...i called Rotora earlier this week and there's something very important you need to know...it's a bit tricky and sneaky of them....they say that the mini kit fits oem rotors and oem diameter wheels...diameter only means the size of the wheel in other words they will fit 17 inch wheels, but when it comes to clearing the spokes, that a whole different story....it's just like any other bbk...the spokes are the issue and that's why you need a different offset...not worth the hassel since adding spacers will take your setup off the center of rotation....honda engineered this car for a reason....lets not try to f@#k up what they've done....honestly i've struggled with the idea of a cool looking bbk, but it's just not worth the $'s and certainly not worth spacers...

Also consider powdercoating your oem calipers if you want to keep the oem wheels but make it look good under there. Much cheaper than a big brake kit and you can pick the color.

Go with stock until you feel the car's hindering your ability to get better times ...

Well that is what I was looking for.
I wasn't sure that they would clear the wheels for sure. Now if I go BBK I might as well go all the way.

Or you could get a BBK because you like the look. Some people don't like the look of the stock brakes especially if they buy a wheel that is very open, thus exposing the OEM set up.

I have tracked my car on the stock brakes and have had an issue with fade. Not everytime I have tracked the car, but at least once.

but honestly for looks, save $1,500 or more and just paint your calipers.... and get a honda or s2000 decal for the side....believe me when painted, the calipers look great...but i would have a professional painter do em...get them gringed down the the casting marks are gone and you have a flush caliper...hey should apply a thick primer and then i would do them in black...subtle and yet sweet looking....i have em in black w/silver honda stickers....i got the stickers from www.s2kaccessories.com
and actually made sure to get the honda and not the s2000 one...it's give it that factory look much like porsche and ferrari do w/the brembo calipers....and since the calipers will have to come off might as well get some goodridge ss brake lines to give you a little better performance...honestly i haven't felt any real difference, but at least they won't expand during high heat stress....so you'd be looking at $150 for brake lines and probably 200 - 300 to get the calipers painted.....i'll send you pics if you want....
