Default rough idle

I know this is subjective but my idle/ engine feels a little rougher than any Honda I've ever owned. Have had new 95/97 prelude, 3.0cl, 05 accord, all these cars had engines that were smoother than glass but not the S, is this normal? Anyone near Castro Valley willing to let me just sit in their car to see what theirs feels like? 250 miles on car, got at 9 never past 5k rpm or half gas. Is this going to get worse, should I take it to the dealer? Can't say it's bad just not perfect

It's a brand spanking new car. The ECU may need a bit of time to adjust to your environmental conditions.
On the other hand, your description of what the car is doing exactly leave much to be desired:
I know this is subjective but my idle/ engine feels a little rougher than any Honda I've ever owned.

Can't say it's bad just not perfect
What the heck do these two statements mean? I can't imagine anyone over the internet can make a reasonable comment based on these.

what that means is its rough unlike any handa I've owned but I have no idea if it is normal or not.
Best way I can describe it is like an american sports car, test drove a Vet and knew it was supposed to run rough (worse than the Honda). I say it's subjective because to I let a few friends drive and they did not think it was rough at all, really I just need to compare it to another S. You might say yours is smooth but I might feel the same vibrations in your car, thats the subjective part. I will wait for a group meeting in my area and see what others feel like. If all other Hondas I've owned were not glass smooth I would think nothing more about it.

I thought the same thing when I got my 05. The S idle is a bit rough. I asked my tech at the dealership, and even tested other S's on the floor. It idles like it has aftermarket motor mounts. You'll also notice that when you shut your car off, it's also pretty shaky. All normal, trust me! If you'd like to compare, I'm in Antioch. Even though I just got my car in Feb, I've already got quite a few miles on it and some mods already.

I noticed the same thing, could it be the timing chain?

I can just see it now. One fairly innocent thread starts a wave of paranoia. I think some of you are getting concerned about something that may simply be NORMAL.

I don't see why you have made an issue with this question.

To those who answered I appreciate the feedback, it helps to know others run the same leading me to think this may be normal. I still plan to check out some other S2K's just for grins.

I guess I'm the only one who sees how rediculous this thread is.
You want us to tell you if something that you have clearly stated is SUBJECTIVE and did not provide any solid and meaningful description of symptoms, is normal or not. What kind of answer did you really expect based on this? If you didn't expect an answer, why did you post this? If all you wanted to do was to get a meet together so you could compare, then why didn't you post up a request for a meet in your regional forum? You wanted an answer. NOBODY over the internet can give you one based on the sketchy information you gave.
And as a consequence, you have others starting to believe there might be something wrong with their cars. THAT, is my only "issue", if that's what you want to call it.

You yourself stated the idle is a bit rougher than any other honda you've owned. Maybe you don't realize how incredibly unique this car is compared to any other honda you've owned. If you're concerned about how the engine feels a bit rougher, don't because chances are it's normal. there's a lot more you're going to discover about the car and it's "true enthusiast's car" nature.
