to answer the OP, no problem for the motor. i know at the dragon, i was in VTEC at least 3/4ths of the time. and from i hear, the track is about 100% VTEC!

I used to baby my Hondas like that too but then I realized that shifting higher under light throttle actually improved gas mileage around town because the engine wasn't lugging.
