Default RSX vs S2000?

Here is a Dyno chart of the RSX... wow.. if the typeR has 20 more hp it should be right up there in s2000 territory!! I test drove the RSX and it felt like it had absolutely no power, less than my prelude. But I ran up 4th gear a little and it did seem to be pulling past 100 mph pretty hard. Look at that torque curve, flat as flat can be. Is that why it feels so slow?!? Jeez, maybe the rsx is underrated from the factory so it doesn't eat into s2000 sales? If the Type R makes 200 hp to the wheels and weighs 2600 pounds it should be faster than the s2000.. I need a 260hp s2000!

BTW, how much does an RSX weigh? This is a big deal in the weight vs hp. To state the obvious, a car with 400hp that weighs 10,000lbs will fare poorly compared to our 240hp car with 2800lbs. Even if the RSX has as much wheel hp as the S, does it have more mass to push?

I spose, but the thing I am wondering if the RSX is underrated from the factory to keep it from treading on the territory of the s2000. It also points to the notion that honda doesn't want to give the s2000 more power. If they came out saying that the RSX made 220 hp, and the type R 240, one would imagine that an upgraded S2000 would be on its way. Another thing to think about is why Honda is holding the typeR back from USA for a few years. Is it because it wants to milk the s2000 in its current form before an update? They would be kind of forced to do something if they advertiesed a RSX type r with 240 hp, woulnd't you think?

I see your point...but they could come out with an RSX that has 500hp for all I care. It would still be in a completely different class of car.
