Well i hope u guys know what am i talking about , it is the rubber line that cover the fender edges. I dont know if i should pull it out or keep it as is , though may or may not be related but all my previous honda crx had rust problem because of this rubber thing ( dust and moisture gets trapped inside)

Keep them on, it's there for a reason. Keeps the debris from catching in there and coroding your fenders over time.

well yea , the only reason i can think off is just not scratching the fenders and all but it's proven on most honda those rubber hting actually accumulate dirt and moisture which made a lot of civic and crx have rear quarter rust and all

remove them. they just trap dirt, salt, and water. every honda with rear quarter panel rust is the direct result of these rubber pieces. it doesnt matter how good you clean it because you can not clean out the dirt and salt that gets trapped underneath it unless you remove it. please for the love of ur rear quarter panels, remove them. i dont know why honda puts them on. this is only valid if you live in a state that gets snow. im sure if you live in cali, florida, georgia, etc. then you dont have to deal with snow and salt and therefore rust.

You are right they have caused rust trapping moisture. I had them on a prelude, civic, and maybe my acura. I removed them on the prelude and civic, after the rust issues. Live in FL now so I left them on the S

" Rubber protection (on fender), Do you guys keep it in or pull it out?"

I always keep it in, when I am using rubber protection. No, I don't pull it out (My rubber protection, that is).

Now that I am married though, I suppose I could remove that pesky rubber protection...

What kind of thread title is that anyway!!

What rubber are we talking about? On my rear wheel wells, there appears to be a rubber strip around the inside of the wheel well lip that covers about the rear 2/3 of this lip. This strip does not appear to be part of anything else, and appears to be glued on. I supposed it could be removed with some good adhesive remover and possiblly some dental floss.

But at the front, the bottoms of the wheel well lips are covered with screwed-on hard black plastic for the rear 2/3 of the well -- but it appears to be a unitized piece with the wheel well liners. Remove these, and there go the front wheel well liners.

So I assume we are talking about the rears only, right?
