Default Rubber seals leaking...

About a month ago, I noticed a very very small amount of water dripping into my car on the driver's side only. The seals didn't seem to match up as nice as the passenger side. I had the dealer replace the seals, under warranty, about two weeks ago while they had the car for the clutch TSB and driver window TSB. Hasn't really rained since. That all ended today... It rained fairly hard here in Chicago today. My car was outside while I was working out at the health club, I come back, and there's a huge puddle in my seat!! Oh, it started raining while I was in the club. Water was leaking in the entire time I was working out!! I head straight for the dealer, which is nearby. As I'm driving over, water continues to leak in onto me as I'm driving... Dealer says they can't do anything today, they're booked solid til Monday. So they schedule me to bring the car back in on Monday, when they'll also do the spark plug TSB. This summer, the car has seen more of the dealer than it has of nice open road, top down driving... I don't know how many more problems I want to deal with anymore. Sorry about the ranting, just had to get this off my chest.

damn that sucks...I've noticed on my 2002 model that it leaks very little sometimes when I'm cleaning my car. I just thought that it was because I'm spraying it at an angle that it works it's way in there. I hope it never leaks like yours has. and I hope they fix that crap for you...ridiculous. I couldn't imagine a puddle of water in my seat...I feel for you man...

I NEVER POSTED THIS PROBLEM FROM EMBARASSMENT!!!

I have the same issue. I get a leak ONLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE. And yes, mine too also looks like the rubber doesn't match up where the window engages the soft top.

I feel so much better and am going to go to my dealer and have this repaired.

Keep me posted.

BTW, MY01 has done this since I first had it!

I had the TBS done for the Driver Window. The Tech adjusted the window during the installation. Mine is leaking after this TBS, I guess he did not get it lined up properly. I guess I either need adjust it myself, or take it back.

My both side windows are leaking every time I wash the car, I took it to two dealers ask them to fix it, both of them said it is"normal"!!!

yinz.. are you just using a regular garden hose or a pressure washer? I imagine that with a pressure washer then yes it would leak slightly. If it is leaking with a simple garden hose... then I don't know

Make sure you guys condition the rubber so it stays soft to help prevent the leaks.

there is a round rubber spacer that is supposed to be pushed down in the roof seal... I almost lost one of mine, the passenger side was loose, I checked the drivers and it was going as well. if they are missing I bet you will have a leak.

There's a caution in the owner's manual, about not leaning on the windows or pushing on the windows to close the door. Using the windows this way will affect the alignment of the seals to the windows possibly causing leaks. Something to remember.
