Default Rubbing

I just lowered my car with Zeal B6's and slapped on some Volks CE-28N 17'' on My04 with Bridgestone SO-3s all around. The zeals were already dropped 1'' compared to stock but when i released the jack off the car, it was still too high. There was an estimaged 2-3 finger gap between the tires and the body. I decided to lower it another 1.5'' and not it fits flush/snugged. The shock settings in the front are "2" and the rears are "2" also. I tried driving it hard on a turn, and what do you know, it fricken rubs. Changed the front settings to "5" (more stiff) and it still rubs but not as much. I know i should roll my fenders but i actually dont want to.

Is the best solution to just raise the car back up about .5''-1.0''? I was thinking since no finger gap was too harsh, maybe i should leave it at 1 finger gap. Think it would solve my problem?

Also for some reason, when im on a bumpy road on low speeds, i hear some squeeking noises. Sounds like water dripping little "cheek-cheek" noises. I know its not normal to have that too since my prelude had that and it was annoying as hell. Am i just putting too much pressure on my new setup?

Damn "cheek cheeks and rub rub"

For one.......if you just took your car off the jacks then your springs have not had a chance to settle, hence the 2-3 finger gap. You need to drive on them for a few to let them settle. Then step back and see if you like the drop.

It's possible if your on stock shocks that you've blown em. Sounds like you slammed the car when you dropped it another inch after they were already an inch lower than stock.

If your shocks are blown then if will have adverse effects on your cornering causing rubbing and all your handling aspects.

This is assuming that your Volk set up has S offsets.

My volks do have S offsets. When i lowered the second time, there was about .5-1.0 finger gap then after all the cornering, it settled alot lower. I dont think the shocks are lown though since they are new Zeal B6's. Im thinking of raising my car up tommorow after noon (since i dont have time today) and ill raise it about an inch. hopefully it wont settle as much and i wont rub. Think it would be better that way?
