Default Is it rude to park right next to an s2k?

So I got to work today and there was a suzuka blue '05 out in no-man's land in the parking lot. His temp tags expire a month from yesterday, so he must have just picked it up after work yesterday. I decided to park in the spot right next to him and I wrote him a little letter just mentioning s2ki and the regional events we have and gave him my email address and everything. So my question is, was it rude that I parked right next to him and put something on his windshield if he obviously wants to be away from everyone?

As long as you didn't ding his car, no rudeness was committed.

THere is a fine line between friendly and stalking. If you were in a S2k then its all good.

it probably made him feel good to be "protected" on one side by another S2k whose owner likely can relate and is probably going to be careful about not dinging the new ride. that's assuming he saw your s2k when he left? if not, all he'll know is that someone walked all the way out to his car and left him a note, which i guess could cause some uneasiness

parking next to me wouldn't be a big deal at all, although I like to park away from all cars in order to avoid door dings. If I parked 1 mile away from the grocery store where there are no cars and you come all the way out just to park there, I think it is weird and rude - but if it just happen to be a spot right by the market, then yes you can park there

regarding the little note you left, I find it kind of funny. I would of thought man this guy has a lot of time on his hand and is he a s2ki recruiter trying to expand the community...kind of going a bit far

I don't think what you did is rude at all. The guy may be a new S2K owner and have no clue about this site. You opened his eyes to all the wonder that is S2Ki.com.

It is rude to park right next to someone who avoided other cars if you have a POS. I really hate parking way out to avoid dings then come out later to have some old beater parked right next to me. Nothing worse than a carload of kids in 78 Olds 2 door. Damn those doors are long and will surely whack your car good. I would love to key the SH*T out of their car after finding a ding, but what good would it do? They are already driving a POS.

Well the cincinnati s2k group is pretty small. It is kind of embarassing when we hold events in cincinnati and there are more people from Columbus and Fort Wayne, IN (like 3.5 hours away) than from cincinnati
