No smoking, I told that to a woman about to get in my car who was going to buy me beer.

I wish I could afford to let people **** up my car and just buy a new one when they did. I'm not rich though, and I value my s

Woah this is a cool thread...never thought about them till this came up

1. No sitting on any outside part of the car.
2. No hands on hardtop if you have rings on.
3 throw your bottles away if you have drinks...(hate finding them lodged under the passenger seat weeks later)
4. Windows down...no slamming the door.
5. Last but not least....NO complaining that the car has only 230 tq, when you are in a 400+ hp car!

Anyway, maybe one could call me anal about these things. But I treat others the same as they way I want to be treated. I:

1. don't slam other people's doors (what's the point?)
2. don't fiddle with their radio (because it's not my car, unless I'm driving)
3. don't lean on paint on other cars
4. don't smoke or eat inside other people's cars
5. try not to bring a ton of dirt and gravel/mud/snow with me into a car -- especially in the winter
6. don't kick my feet on the side sills
7. go slowly over speed bumps
8. don't put drinks into a cupholer if it interferes with the driver shifting
9. take away any garbage that I brought along with me (tissue paper, whatever)
10. let the car warm up before any more aggressive driving, and cool down afterwards

Along with a whole host of things. I think this is just a respect to other people's properties. I do all the above things even to my parents' car, when it's already 14 years old.

Sure a car is a car. One could buy a new one if something's broken. However, I'm very picky about my stuff. I would much rather drive around a car that's in a nice condition, rather than one that's not taken care of.

#1 Rule for ANY of my cars, especially the S: Do not touch the ####ing deck. I put a custom sound system in MY car so I can listen to MY music. I don't care if you don't like my music, or think it's too loud. Take the bus and listen to your mp3 player then.

#2 Rule: No smoking unless I trust you and the top is down. I actually kicked my friend's friend out of my car because she lit up after I explicitly told her no several times and warned her I would kick her out. She thought I was joking. I wasn't

My friend was not impressed. I thought it was funny as hell.

Other than that, just the usual stuff. Don't slam the door and don't track mud into my car.
