Russell Racing School
I took the 3 day indy cart class at Russell Racing in Sonoma CA. about three years ago. They keep sending me offers to take the advanced class (also three days).
I was wondering if any of you have taken the advanced class? Was it worth the $2750?
I had a blast in the first class I took, how can you beat three days racing around a track with hard turns and s curves, but not sure if it's worth the money to do it again.

I have done similar driving schools driving Tube-Framed NASCAR-type Chevy 350 V-8s, and had a great time. I have been on a street coarse (Willow Springs - Big Track), and a 1/2 mi oval (which was not as boring as I thought it would be). The experiences were great. Like you said, who wouldn't wanna do that?
This, to me, was a nice "Once-In-A-Lifetime" event. Something to check off the "List". I have an extensive "Must Do Before I Die - List", which contains similar thrills. I typically check something off and move onto the next challenge. If you are like me in this regard, I would keep your memories of a good experience and move on. Who knows, maybe the second impression may not live up to your memory.
Cost is a factor, as well. There are just too many other thrills out there. I have to spread it around a little.
* I used "I" eight times in that reply. Ten if you count those <-----. Guess this reply was all about me - or "I". (that's eleven!)

I did the Jim Russell school in Mount Tremblant, beginners and advanced. I was asked to return to compete for the F2000 series ride they were offering but politics prevented me from winning that. Was it worth the advance class? I would say yes for me as a career move.
