i tell ya white is just as bad as black in maintenance, from experience
With respects, I disagree. Both colors will show dirt, that's true, but white doesn't fade as easily, it doesn't (IMO) show a relatively light dusting like black will, and it doesn't show streaks and swirls the way black does.

A properly cleaned and polished black paint job will practically be a mirror shine. It will be drop dead gorgeous and I really admire it when I see it, but the amount of elbow grease it takes to get it that way, and the fact that it won't last more than a mile down the road, is why I won't bother. It's just not worth it, for me anyway. My last two motorcycles were/are black. No way will I buy a car in that color.

it shows all the ride grime anything from the road and sticks on the paint to look like vanilla bean icecream. white does hide scratches, black hide the speckles. clay barring is extra maintenance, using bug and tar to remove the tar and sap speckles all over the paint.
i've owned both black, white, silver and silver has the lowest maintenance with the black and white high maintenance to me. black being the wax and wash alot, white being wash and bug and tarring.

Both my Integra (98) and my Odyssey (04) had the tiny little rust spots on them, most of the white Honda/Acura's I have seen up here (MI) have them unless the have been recently polished. I have never seen it happen on any other color from H/A though, just the white ones. I will never get another white H/A again...

Are you fisting me? Black is a bastard to keep clean. I don't even hand wash my black Acura because it just pisses me off in regards to how much work it is to get "perfect"

White is so much easier... it hides all of the swirls and such really well. The only thing it sucks for is the little "specs" that show up... but a good claying takes care of it.

True, but it's still a lot easier than all the extra polishing and buffing that black can require to make it look 100%.

Personally, I've not had that much of a problem with bugs on my GPW, and the little spot the OP was talking about just pop off with a fingernail. Clay barring isn't always necessary. At least it hasn't been for me!

so...........i finally got my car back today !~!~!~

looks ok under the sun, just have to wait til tonite, go to gas station, will be able to see better under the gas station lights............

thank god seems like all the little pin "rust" spots are gone, have to look closer, i walked around my car like 5 times, and seems like they are gone, so...will wait and see....

they told me that they are not really "rust", they are metal "powder" from the brakes, every car will have them, but just so much easier to look on white cars.....
