S badges now available to order and ogle
Got a couple of questions...
Do the badges come in 2 different sizes - one size for the front and one size for the back? When I put the European Red Chrome badges on my car, I remember that they were two different sizes.
Will they have the pins on them for alignment?
Is there going to be a Black on Red?
I look forward to checking them out next weekend!!!

Answers to questions.
No, we're not the least embarassed (I speak for myself here) that the S2000 is a Honda (I own two other Hondas and think it's one of the world's best marques as good as anything from Germany or anywhere else). The whole idea evolved from members of this board who thought, that given the Honda tradition of "S" roadsters going back to the 60s, there should be a distinctive badge for the car, one that sets it off from other Hondas. Some people, I think (based on orders so far) are going to use the S badge on the front or rear and keep one of the Honda H badges. We also wanted to create an air of mystery, as many board members suggested: So that when people ask what the car is, we can really surprise them with "It's a Honda."
All badges are the same size, so there's no difference front and rear.
No pins, just very strong self adhesive, like the good after market badges available elsewhere.
The squares you think you're seeing is our attempt to represent in a drawing the 2000 embossed out of the background. They're a little 2000.
For now, there will be only the colors shown. We may do others if there's another run, which will depend on demand. The first run is for 500 badges, BTW, the minimum order.

I had been wondering and pondering how these would look on my car. I was washing my car yesterday... and as I was washing the badge areas, front and rear, I immediately thought of how these new badges would look. I got one of those special feelings.
I have to say I now have a strong urge to get a pair of these!

I had been debating this for some time as I really like the Honda badges. The other day I saw a white Prelude with a blue Honda badge and it looked great. This made up my mind to get one and I think the red S on the black will look great on a black car!
BTW, you must post pics of your console and shift boot combos!

Different materials, actually. Foil, small metal pieces, all under a plastic lens, -- a composite of parts from cars shredded by the S2000 on the twisties.
But mostly plastic, which is what today's badges are largely made of.
