marvel all the way. of course EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD IS RELATIVE PEOPLE.
the f20c is amazing so don't knock on it. and those of you who say anyone could make an engine that is tuned to run 240 out of 4 half-liter cylinders for a reasonable production cost and then BACK UP THE ENGINE WITH A WARRANTY.. you are an ignorant car fan and you should be slapped. tell nissan to tune their new v6 engine to 120 hp a liter and lets see what they come up with.. and how it changes the price on the sticker of that bloated 350z.

HAHA i was the one that called it a marvel. Now that i think about it, im kinda in a toss up. One side says that the golden gate and space ships are marvels, on the other hand, im sure an insane amount of engineering went into the s2k engine. I think this will be something that time will tell, but if i were to make a prediction id say the engine will keep on trucking.

As soon as I started this thread, I thought about Steve C, too. I actually wanted to hear his opinion on the matter.

And I wasn't really asking if it was a marvel, in comparison to the pyramids of egypt.. I just wanted to spark some conversation and see how great or overrated people think it is. And to give some reasoning. People have done just that.. I consider my thread successful!!

Heres my 2 cents. Is it a marvel to extract 240 hp from a N/a 4cyl? No probably not. People do this all day long with all motor cars and performance parts. Where the marvel comes in is when you can do it to a motor that allows you to drive it every day on a reliable basis, can be driven to 200,000 miles with no problems, is still very streetable and tame when you need it to be, can run on premium pump gas, pass emission testing and take your grandma to church on Sundays. All this and it can run high 13 e.t.'s bone stock. Thats where the marvel comes in.

I think it's personal preference as to what is an engineering marvel.

It does have a solid gold shifter, killer, four cylinder engine and handles well.
But I have to say, it is a kick to drive....engineering marvel, maybe, maybe not, but as far as I'm concerned this car meets ALL of my enthusiast requirements.

The F20C has been awarded the international Automotive Engineers Motor if the year for an unpredented 4 times in a row including 2004 when Honda switched motors here.

The cars body harmonic for a roadster is only surpassed by a Ferrari.
It cost lots less than a Ferrari.

Those might be a couple reasons that make people marvel.

It's a Honda folks ...

A great car, lot's of fun but some of you are in my opinion getting a bit carried away. This is the type of thread we saw a lot more often 4 or so years ago.
