S= Its' an s type engine.
2000= the official first year of production and Honda's 50 yr Anniversary.

Thats what I always thought anyway.

S2000...... just sounds good....no other car like it.

I'd have to agree with Jason B when he says it's "the most engaging automobile I've ever driven"

I actually went to the Honda dealer to shop an accord but walked away with the S. No regrets!!!!

I've never been this fascinated about any of the other cars I've owned which include two 911 Porsches.

It's the perfect blend of male and female. Now, I'm not calling the S a hermaphrodite, but where have you ever seen a linebacker that can also dance ballet???
