Thumbs up S2000 2001 good deal?

Hey guys,

Just want to find out what you guys think about GPW 2001 with 18k miles selling for $23k? The car is located at a honda dealership in Ohio.
Is it overpriced for that year and mileage?
In thet case, what's should be a decent offer?

Thanks for your input!

Hmm... I think 23 is a little high, but 18K is pretty low mileage for that year. GPW isn't that popular a color either...

I think you could negotiate this for 21 or thereabouts... That'd be a good deal.

mine is a MY00. CERTIFIED (1 yr bumper-bumper / 7 year, 100k powertrain). Granted it had 45k on the clock....got it OUT THE DOOR for $18,500. If the asking price is $23k, figure on around $1000 is taxes and fees.....you can do better....IMO, but i dont know your market area.

Summer is hell to buy convertible....prices are inflated. If you can wait for a better deal, wait til DEAD of WINTER to buy. Prices will be at their lowest then.

KBB value on that car (Private Party) is only $19,700.

I bought a MY01 berlina with 18k on the clock back at the end of april. They were asking for 24k and i got them down to 21. Certified used at a honda dealership. They defineatley need to come down off of that price.

i think GPW is a great color (biased) i bought mine for 19,800, '01 with 29k miles, and got it in mid december, i think 23k isnt a bad price but there is definitly room for negotiation, maybe 23k on the road to start with, go in there knowing that they need you, you dont need them, there are many other s2k's for sale, just my opinion

I'd be selling my 01 NFR with OEM hardtop and a few mods for about $21...33K miles.
I don't think $23 is a bad price - especially from a dealer!

hnic,

Your HT is worth probably an additional grand to the price of your car. An 01 with 33K + HT might get you $21K... I'm guessing, though, closer to 20. G'luck.

White is a popular color, 21k tops if she is super clean.
