The largest importer of Honda (http://www.johnblair.com.au) hasn't even heard of the 2002 series. This is sad

 

Well several dealers I have spoken to have heard of it, although they don't say when it will arrive.

More importantly, Honda Australia know about it, I had this email from them when I asked them about the 2002 S2000 last week:

We wish to acknowledge receipt of your correspondence recently received on the email facility within Honda's Internet Site.

I have just been informed that there is a new model S2000 scheduled to arrive in Jan/Feb of 2002. At this stage none of the specifications of the vehicle have been released and the official launch dated has not been finalised.

If you would like to contact us towards the end of this year, as we may have some further information available then.

I am hanging out for it, sure hope it is more like begining of January rather than end of Feb.

Not quite true, I told all their reps about it 3 weeks ago when I was last in there. They just have short memories, and because they don't have anything official from Honda yet, they want to keep selling 2001 models for as long as they can.

 

hi I spoke to Honda AU today & they said that a 2002 would be making its way here as early as december hopefully. However she assured me there would be no significant changes. So I mentioned the various changes eg glass instead of plastic... She then said she was unsure if the 2002 models coming to Australia had all of those changes or not.

 

I love the way car manufacturers and dealers always give such copious and consistent information about up-coming releases.
They wouldn't be trying to con me into buying the current model right now would they??
Perish the thought... how could I even think such a thing....

 

hehe. I have '01 Silver/Black & I love it so much it hurts I wonder how much the 2002 edition will be going for in Australia. Can't be that much more I suppose.
