Have you driven an SVT Focus? I have, and it is quite a fine driving little car. If you need for seats, it is a contender, and there are lots of go-fast parts for the Zetec engine.
I got to wring one out when i was writing for Nutz and Boltz, and had just ordered my Cobra when they were first announced in April 2002.

I like the SVT Focus, though it's not as fun as the Focus RS, which we cannot even buy here in N. America. Somehow I don't think they're talking about the SVT though.
I just think that considering all the quality problems and recalls Ford has had with that car, it should be precluded on that basis. Who knows? Maybe Ford has worked all the bugs out, and now 2004 Focuses are virtually perfect.
