If you want a car that can do it all, look no further than the S2000.

Of course it is ! A very well balanced sports car engineered to near perfection.

I’m not certain if it is the best all around, but it is a very, very, very strong contender.

I disagree. The S2000 is already too fast for my tastes.

(I'm a weirdo who just wants to be able to have my foot to the floor for more than 5 seconds without breaking a law)

Not even close to being the best all-around in my opinion. On the other hand, it's clearly the most fun. I always have a large grin whether it's on-track or on-street. It's got a driving character that's so unique.

What’s your Mount Rushmore of pure sports cars from the past 30 years?

I’m going NA/NB Miata- so playful and carefree of a car. That car is just a delight.

Lotus Elise/Exige - Simply pure sport

Late Model Boxster - a joy to drive, well balanced, just fantastic.

The final one is tricky. I could put the S2000 here as it is very nimble and responsive. I also would be remiss for not considering a corvette, I dunno.

i donno about that
post your 2001 s2000 and see how many people would trade it for their 2001 ITR

plus almost every video from japan i see. s2000 doesnt really win that much from 01 ITR
they are neck to neck in most of the videos same with RSX unfortunately. i feel like type-r was much more of a dog on the track than any other 4 banger ( and i only mean stock)

now if you start to modify the motors its obvious the displacement and vtc on k series has clear advantage

There’s more to a sports car than lap times.
