My friend has a hook up with a dealer that can get me an s2k for black book value.
He just asked me what color/year I want and he is going to get back to me. So I'm just wondering how much I can be expecting to pay for a '04 GPW or BB, mileage around 40-50k or so. It will be located in New Hampshire too if that changes anything.
Hopefully I will no longer just an enthusiast soon!

 

I dont know it seems you have to have a subscription to view the prices? if its anything like kbb then your not getting a great deal unless he means the lowest kbb value. Also kbb has a "dealer" value which is bs

 

The most dealerships are buying them for (04-05, that mileage) is $18k, so maybe around that - about 2-3k less than private party.

black book is related to the car auction market. so, theoretically, if you can get the car at black book, you should be paying what a dealer would pay at auction for a car. in fact, your hook-up could be going to the auction market to find your car, and just charge you what it costs them.

 

^^thats exactly what he is doing, I was just wondering around what price that would be, I know it probably is case depending but I'm just looking for a rough estimate.
