I saw the same stuff when i was pulling the value of my car for a loan. Use NADA. i believe most banks use NADA now as well as insurance companies

I suspect that prices on a given site are generated with used sales data fed to algorithms.

Low numbers of sales for the S2000 in a given time period will result in volatility.

Don't worry about it so much; it'll change every month according to NADA/Edmunds/KBB. Just drive the thing.
Something you're selling, is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I've noticed it has "updated" as well, I think it is actually more accurate overall then it was before. It used to value a 2001 w/out a hardtop with 40,000 miles at ~$20,000, now it is closer to market value, at around $16,000. However, since summer is approaching actual prices in general are likely to go slightly up for the same car in the same condition with the same mileage, not down.

I suspect this is the case. NADA value for my car was 3k higher than KBB when I bought it, and the credit union valued the car at the NADA price.

NADA seems a bit low in my opinion, at least from my experience, while KBB is often on the high side.

So where can I find that 2001 S2000 with 15,000 miles in good shape for $13,300

A few months ago I looked at what my AP1 was worth and it said (based on mileage of 164k) it was worth 11k. A couple weeks ago I checked and it was worth 8.
I'm going to throw up the 11 when I list it for sale in the next week or two and am lucky to not be in a rush to sell so I can just say no until I get an offer I like

NADA sure missed the mark on the hardtop price. They valued it at 900 dollars.
