I never noticed that because I don't open my radio door. No radio, so no reason to have that thing poking me in the leg. However, it is a handy hiding place for...other things.

Its not only for toll money, multiple uses...multiple uses... as you can allready read in the post...

I specially like it for when I go through Starbucks coffe drive through...

actually the edge of the a/c control where it meets the soft leather dash will hold a parking card firmly.

i put it there all the time so i don't misplace it

I have no idea what the holder is for, but I can say without any doubt, what so ever, that it is not for money.

My vote is for loose paper. I'd bet there is some japanese registration card, license, insurance card or something that fits perfectly. I just can't believe that some japanese honda engineer would care how big american money is. Car designers put coin holders in cars, not bill holders.

I actually put trojan condoms in there. It's a very handy spot because I always keep my console compartment locked.
