What CKit said. If you go through cars like that (and got rid of an NSX and an Elise), it really doesn't matter now, does it?

That transmission is a champ... But I'll be honest, The car is an electronic nightmare!

Stay away from the MBenz, unless you dont mind frequent trips to the Benz mechanic. Euro parts/maintenance price is outrageous. Get the S2k and supercharge it

I traded my C32 for a new S2000 two years ago.
My C32 needed a new radiator, transmission and intercooler pump and it only had 36k on the odometer when I traded it.
Get the S2000.

You've already got an S2000 on your rap sheet of cars, so I say add something different. C32. Isetta. FCX Clarity.

Crazy idea too: Why not ask the wife what she thinks? Her opinion should probably be worth more than some strangers on the internet...

Same as always: test drive. None of us can tell you what you want.

[QUOTE=CKit,May 15 2010, 07:18 PM]Does it really matter?

I highly recommend to get an S2000. It is fun to drive and judging from your previous rides you will love the S2K as well. Furthermore, the S2K does not require big $$$ to maintain and it is very reliable.

Trust me, Mercedes used to be a great car maker. I'm using the term "used to" because you will bang your head with all the problems that you shall get. I'm talking from personal experience since both my parents got an ML350 and an E320 with low mileage but the frequency of having problems on both cars is just ridiculous. Why am I saying personal experience? Because I'm the one who takes both cars to the dealer and complain so they can fix them even within warranty and now without.

Mercedes cars are not built like they used to be in the past. Their mechanical and electronics issues are the main problems to deal with. The rest of what Mercedes offers such as quality of car's body, safety and quality of the interior is superb but that's it.

Two months ago, my neighbor bought a beautiful black '08 C350 with 35k miles. He drives his '95 Ford Ranger to avoid the hassle. The Benz is for sale. He has talked about getting this car for over a year. It took him 4 weeks to hate it, and 5 weeks to put it up for sale.

Since when does superior engineering mean fancy instead of reliable?

A buddy of mine also dumped MB because every trip to the dealer was "another grand".

When you see 10 year old S-class MBs sell for $10k with low miles... there is a reason.
