All S2k will be come classics as the numbers decrease and become harder to find.

Yep. And no matter what the future brings, it will be difficult to find a more pleasing driver's car.

So I am hanging on to mine forever. Shoot. They may have to bury me in the car.

i like the fact that it was a parting/retiring "gift" for shigeru uehara... or so i read somewhere.
if you search on youtube for s2000cr there is a motor trend (or someone) article that discusses that. Uehara's last project was the CR...and he goes through some of the differences between the CR and how it would fit in between a Type-S and a Type-R.

btw..for those that claim to never sell their car, I honestly do wonder what % of people will truely never sell their car.. keep in mind..i said that in '01 and in '05

I say take a chance and keep your S. Rather than hoping for a price appreciation it might be more realistic that used prices remain static for a few years. This would allow and maybe foretell a true increase in value in the future. Wouldn't it be nice to know that worst case your S2000 will always be valued at the same price you paid ? There's nothing wrong with remaining optomistic and in the mean time you get to drive a car that really does have some potential. Time will tell.
