Default s2000 CR suspension

I noticed on hardtop guy they sell the CR shocks and springs. Anyone know how these would compare to stock ap2 and after market suspension options? I'm thinking of upgrading my suspension, and I'm more likely to buy Honda genuine parts than anything else. Thanks for input.

I would much rather go with a nice aftermarket 'adjustable' coilover set. I think of the CR suspension more as a nice plug and play setup.

I think you would need the CR aero parts to compliment the CR suspension, I dunno

1OEM Spring rates by year (front/rear)
MY00-01 = 218/291
MY02-03 = 240/230
MY04-07 = 256/207 (I'm getting conflicting info here)
MY08-UP = 274/225
MY08 CR = 375/264

biggest difference prob being here, with the spring rates. Im sure that the shocks/struts are improved to handle the additional rates.

*soft rear springs compared to almost any aftermarket system
GC 340f/380r recommended
BC 10k/10k or 561/561

CR setup is a great option if you are looking for a bit of an upgrade from stock, yet you want to maintain the OEM deal.

The CR probably won't be as "good" as some of the aftermarket coilover sets, but it's some where between the stock setup and all-out aftermarket setup, with the ground clearance and Honda brand (and research and durability, etc) behind it.

Oh wellz .. I went the CR route ...

And the CR also has different size sway bars and wider tires that compliment that shocks/spring combo.

Some aftermarket suspension manufacturers make the shocks for many OEM applications. Bilstein comes to mind. PSS9 is high quality and is height and shock dampening adjustable for under $1300. The CR shocks and springs at HT guy add up to $1255.

Do you know if that was a percentage rate calculated against the MY07, MY08 or MY00 spring rates?
EDIT: never mind, I think I found the answer, and it's MY08

For the price of the CR suspension you could get PSS9's which have very similar spring rates (345f/285r) while still being adjustable for the same price.
