mine is daily driven and rain is no problem as long as your tires are in good shape. as for snow ive only driven in snow a couple times but summer tires and snow is a no-no. you dont go anywhere fast. im sure with winter tires and a little more weight in the rear and you'd be fine.

Use mine as a DD, racked up 20k miles last year alone. As everyone else has said, keep your wits about you, keep away from WOT, and drive carefully and rain/snow/sleet will not be a huge problem. I am running P Zero Nero all seasons.

Remember inclement weather+WOT+vtec crossover=no fun.

I've been using mine as a DD for the past year, and I'm 6'2. Having said that, I am selling the car...if that means anything at all. Maybe if it were just a little bigger and faster, I would keep it.

I couldn't make with my '01 as a DD. With 100+ miles a day and my 6' frame, it just didn't work out for me.

Daily drive mine through the five seasons of Ohio.

Hot, almost cold, cold as hell, still cold, and construction.

Get some blizzaks, I love mine.

Mine has been my DD since I got it. Never had a problem, rain wasn't a major issue, but here in CA its less than your hometown no doubt. I used to fit quite a bit of stuff in the trunk. Just pay close attention to your fluids and tires as you'll be going through them quick!

I DD my old old one. I put over 80k miles on it in 2.5 years.

I do have a question about the snow driving thing... Who decided it would be a good idea to make a car oversteer by throwing a bunch of dead weight in the trunk? Sand bags in the trunk is just plain stupid.

100%

Bad idea to add crazy amounts of weight to improve traction at the cost of steering maneuverability. So you can potentially accelerate faster, but brake and steer slower. Yikes.

The car already does great in the snow with just snow tires.
