Irish.

Great, Great, Great Grandfather was a native of Ireland. So I quess that makes me a WASP.

I think initally trucks replaced cars as the prices of cars sky rocketed. Then the NASCAR marketing machine turned a whole generation of kids into thinking it was really cooler to have a truck than a car. With the exception of Miata, there's really been no "used car" market for sports cars that the average kid can afford, until maybe recently. Some of the new stuff is beginning to age and is a now little more affordable.

Based on posters here I would say the S2000 is very popular with Asians. The thing that surprised me is how many young kids could afford a $32k car, reguardless of nationality.

I know some leased the car. And of course there are others who bought it when they really couldn't afford it. Some of the monthly car payments and insurance payments I've heard of blows my mind. I sense there's a large portion of S2000 owners, perhaps a third or more, who are in employed in computer technology fields which pays well. And, it must, based on all the expensive carbon this and carbon that which finds it's way to so many S2000s.

I was born in the US and am proud to be an American, I love this country and though my heritage may have originated on another continent the United States has and will always be my home.

That being said I think that most owners just like the car and know a good thing when they experience it. I think it has more to do with high IQ's than anything else. S2000 is a reliable no holds barred sports car that holds its value better than anything in the market.

For me it comes down to something like, "Home is where the heart is." I was born in India and came to this country when I was 2 and been here ever since. I've made a few vacation trips back over the years (I'm 25 now) but never stayed there for very long, nor have I ever considered making a final trip back and living there forever. Likewise, I've got a ton of friends who were born here and technically, as far as the US Government is concerned, they're as red-blooded American as the next guy when the polls open. But my friends and I all still keep our heritage close to us and actually do a lot of work to ensure that our kids know where they came from and all.

I think we all consider the US our home...but being a minority brought up in a traditional household, one definitely considers their heritage when answering, "Aren't you an American?" I speak a south Indian language called Tamil and consider myself Indian before American.

At the end of the day...who really gives a shit?? As long as people are getting along and everyone's driving the car they want...does it really matter??

British - born and raised there until 11 years ago. Lived in Saudi Arabia for 3 years and then moved to the States 8 years ago. I'm a permanent resident with a green card and I now consider the States as my home. I bought this car purely because it was the only 2 seater roadster that caught my eye - nothing to do with Asian made or anything else. I had a domestic car before this - a Chrysler Sebring Coupe. Loved that car but didnt want a back seat anymore.
