Default S2000 Driving Experience

I would like to know all of you guys to let me know about your experience driving the S2K. What it feels like and all that kind of stuff. You can make it short and sweet or long and as detailed as you want.

I need to know what it feels like to be behind the wheel of the S2000, because I don't own one.

Why don't you find a dealership with one and take it for a little spin, or ask one of the friendly members in your area.

As bahula03 said, defintately go take one for a spin at a dealer. The experience I think, is going to vary from individual to individual depending on the types of vehicles driven in the past.

It depends on your driving experience. If this is your first shot at a rear wheel drive - you will have your hands full til you adjust. Also, the rear end has a way of re-settling when you come off the throttle in a corner. This is referred to as "snap oversteering" or similar. If the effect is strong enough, you will fish tail and or spin out if you cannot handle it.

I consider myself a darn good driver, with oval track and road course experience. It honestly took me about a month of street driving before I was truely comfortable hitting curves hard.

Be warned, this is no econo front wheel drive grocery-getter. While it will behave that way when nursed, its true personality is high-revving and hard driving. Enjoy!

Please just go drive one. It is an experience that cannot be explained with words!

As for "snap oversteer" - I don't believe this for one bit. The S2000 acts like any RWD car in corners. If you lift off the throttle, this will upset the balance of the car, just like it would with any RWD car.

It is more prominent in ours as it has 50/50 weight distro, and its rather light.
