Default S2000 Engine Life

Given the close association with the S2000 Engine and motorcycle & F1 engines, what's the given life expectancy of the S2Ks four banger?

I'm one fax away from firming up the purchase of a Blk/Blk 2001 and I'm looking to eliminate any worries my mind is going to conjure up after I hit "SEND". . .

How many miles do you have on your S2000?

Recently asked. Don't know personally but a search of the forums may help. Here's one.

If you want to end any worries, bundle an extended Honda Care warranty with the original purchase. You probably have more bargaining power now than you will have later. The price is negotiable. There is a good thread here about the price of warranties.

Personally, I think that the S2000 will easily see 100,000 miles. I'm willing to bet that if you keep it properly maintained you'd probably be able to see 200,000 with very few problems. I have 3 other hondas with about 200,000 on them and that's why I chose to go with another honda. Granted this is a high reving motor, but my crx w/ b16 revved to 8000 rpm, and it's still going well and I raced the hell out of that poor little car. However I always kept it maintained. Basically what I'm trying to say is that I highly doubt that you'll have any major problems with this car, but thats just my opinion.
