PM Wesmaster for details on what he's done or is going to do. He's trying to make the S2K drag proof.

Twenty-some owners have had engine problems requiring a short block replacement. Several others have had spark plug problems or bent valves. Several have had clutch problems. Several have had differential problems. Some people have had trouble with the plastic rear window before Honda went to the glass window. Some people found that the handling needed improving and put on cross braces, strut tower braces, different sway bars, lowered the suspension and changed the wheels. Several owners had to replace the tires due to wear and tear.

Having said all that, Consumers Reports rated its frequency of repair much better than average for both of the last two years.

Go figure.

Actually, a simple swap from a 1972 International Scout II has done wonders for me. The only (very minor) problem is that the shifter is too long for me to close the roof but that doesn't matter since I never put the roof up anyway. It's bulletproof now.

KeithD is no fool. He is getting one of those classic Chevy Vegas - everybody remembers those; aluminum engines with cast iron inserts, renowned for their incredible reliability and longevity, unlike the FRM liners in the F20C Honda engine. Way to go, KeithD.

My K is the fourth Honda I've owned and none have ever had engine problems. That's BMW's department.
