S2000 Exhaust Note .....
Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and quite interested in the S2000.
I love that electronic dash and the start button especially.
When I graduate college next year, I plan on purchasing a 2004 S2000. What I would really like to know is how is the exhaust note on the S2000? It's just such an important factor to my sports car checklist.
I own a 1991 Toyota MR2, and when it revs up in the 4s and 5s, the engine screams behind me and the exhaust note is fantastic. It never fails to put a smile on my face. I'm not sure if any of you S2000 owners have ever driven a MK II Toyota MR2 (90s model), but could you possibly compare it to the S2000 if you did? My MR2 handles amazingly, and I'm hoping this car does as well with its weight distribution.
It's a shame how Toyota made their MK III MR2. With a now ugly interior, OK looking body design, single exhaust pipe, and no trunk space for luggage (and on the slow side), I'm looking more and more toward the S2000, especially the 2004 model with an even nicer interior than the previous 3 years (looks more like my MR2s interior than the MK III) and the added low end torque of the 2.2 liter engine (my MR2 also has a 2.2).
For those of you who have never seen an MR2, here is mine:

I was going to sell it for a car with stick, but since it's in such good condition, I will hold out and buy an S2000 when I graduate college.

Another question, I change my own oil on my MR2. The oil cap, filter, and plug under the car are easily accessible. How is the setup on the S2000? Could I do the same for it?
