No the sl550 is a lot faster then the s2k.

In a straight line that car would DESTROY an S2000, let's be serious. But was the S2000 made to just go in a straight line? I think not.

Reminds me of the Top Gear episode where they compare the Z4, Boxster, & S2000. Hammond claims the BMW has the fastest convertible top in the world... but when side by side, the S2000's is still faster =p false advertising ftw!

SL550 0-100 km/h sprints are completed in 5.7 seconds, while the quarter mile blows by in 13.8 seconds at 161 km/h.

That's comparable to an ap2 stock and my mom happens to have an sl550 and my dad raced my ap1 with intake exhaust and 4.77's and he won't do that again.

The only way a s550 would "destroy" an s2000 is 50-70 rolling starts ect. but heads up at the drag strip it's a whole other ball game.
