I learned how to drive a stick when I bought my '99 Civic Si a few years ago.

The s2k is my second manual car. First was a '82 carolla hatch. It was hard to get it up to the speed limit on freeways

I've never owned an auto and never will. I personally despise them.

this is a good idea for a thread topic! the S is my 7th manual car:

'82 Datsun B210 station wagon (high school car - NOT a chick magnet)
'91 Prelude Si (sweet ride - totalled in college wreck...too bad)
'93 Dodge Shadow (POS american car but got me thru the rest of college)
'99 Mazda Miata (first "new" car - T-boned after 2 weeks and 192 miles...)
'00 Mustang GT (fun to drive - but everyone else had one)
'02 RSX-S (getting closer to where i wanted to be...)
'04 S2000 (perfection!!!)

Anyone else hardly ever drive an auto and forget that when you are at a stoplight, etc - and lightly let up on the brakes - the auto car wants to roll forward? that always gets me!
A little offtopic but... your car looks so bad ass in your sig!

Ok back on topic... I just bought my S2k a couple weeks ago. It's my first manual trans car. I drove my friend's car a couple of times to get the basics but I basically learned when I drove the S home from the dealership. I wish I had a crappy car to practice with before driving my baby. I feel so bad when I up!!

My first two cars were automatic, then a series of manuals, an automatic, and then a couple of manuals.

1971 Ford Torino (sedan, auto, sold)
1972 Dodge Charger (auto, totaled)
1981 Camaro Z28 (4-speed, sold)
1987 Camaro Iroc (5-speed, sold)
1989 Supra Turbo (5-speed, sold)
1995 Lexus SC400 (auto, traded on Miata)
2001 Mazda Miata (6-speed, current)
2002 Honda S2000 (6-speed, current)

In there I've also had the following (all manual transmissions :-)).

1987 Yamaha Virago (sold)
1993 Suzuki RF600R (sold)
1997 Yamaha YZF600R (sold)
1999 BMW R1100RT (sold)
2004 Yamaha FJR1300ABS (current)

Interesting, the Miata, S2000, and FJR1300 are all silver.
