Wow!

There are quite a few in here that cannot discern the difference between a fact and an opinion.

There is no measurement of "fun factor" that is common to all people. Designating one car as "more fun" than another is all about personal preference, and therefore an OPINION.

Some that like more power may feel the S2000 is more fun than the Miata.
Some that like at-the-limit driving at more modest speeds may feel the Miata is more fun than the S2000.
There are many more reasons why one may feel that one of these cars is "more fun" than the other.

Why the need to turn everything into an off-topic pissing match?

Well, probably the best advice that we could all agree with would be the recommendation to test drive a bunch of cars. Take an AP1 and an AP2 out for a spin. Take a used NB Miata and perhaps a newer NC MX-5 out for a spin. Check out used Lotus Elises, you can get a used one in the low $30k range. All these cars are real sport cars and a lots of fun (more fun than my STI IMHO except in the snow).

That graphic of the children laughing at the AP2 is very appropriate. You will grow out of that sophmoric attitude.

So true, since "fun" is purely subjective.
For awhile I was working a block away from Monster Miata in Cali. 300hp/300tq 5.0 in a 2,500 lb car - dayum now that was (my version of) FUN.
