S2000 Gioire wheel color
From Brian Long's book, "The book of the Honda S2000", page 97: "the Gioire featured...gold-painted BBS alloys (the same style as the optional items)". Apparently, these wheels were optional in some markets (in the standard silver color) but painted gold for the Gioire edition cars. The book makes no mention of specific paint color codes, that I can find.

I have a set of these. Bought them here and had them refinished in silver. Currently rocking the AP2 V3 wheels as I'm torn on the looks of these.
I will say, they are super lightweight. I moved them into my basement a few weeks back and didn't remember the last time I lifted a wheel that light. Getting harder and harder to find them.

^That's consistent with what's been reported in the past -- I've seen as low as 13.3 and 14.3, but I tend to believe your scale. Regardless, it's pretty amazing -- the stock Enkei 16" rims (U.S. version) are right about 18 and 19 lbs, respectively. (They're typically reported as 17.5 & 18.6, but that might be based on the JDM/Euro version.) So the BBS rims save a good 17-18 lbs of unsprung rotational mass - that's essentially 4 wheels for the weight of 3!
A very effective track setup back in the day was to run the BBS rims non-staggered using 4 rear rims (which, as with the stock wheels, requires boring the center holes to fit the front hubs). This still saved 15-16 lbs overall and, because of the tall sidewalls of 16" tires, also allowed you to mount beefy 245/45 tires all around. The overall grip benefit was comparable to the classic staggered 17" Volk CE28Ns, which are about the same weight overall, but due to the lower tire profiles needed, worked best with narrower 225/45 in front (the 9" Volk rears comfortably accommodated 255/40s). Of course, this was back when you could actually find ultra-high-performance/race tires in 16" sizes! Good luck with that these days, when even minivans are sporting standard 19" rims...
