Default S2000 is a girls car?

Ive had some co-workers and friends that dont know much about cars tell me i have a girls car. This doesn't bother me, but it did get me thinking. Ive owned my S for over a year now, and in that time i think ive come across maybe 2 other S2000s on the road that had a girl behind the wheel. All other drivers have been guys.

Have people ever told you this? What do u guys think?

Gender driven doesn't come into it, tho my S is called LUCY, named by my 4 year old daughter. So I guess the S is a girl... take it lightly mate, they just want to get you to bite

People tell me that all the time. My response is usually "how many girls you know that drive s2000's". They usually come back with "its because its a convertible", which I just tell them whatever, they're brain dead.

I've only witnessed one female behind the wheel of a s2k (yellow ap2)
That was 1 female out of close to 15 s2k's on the road in my state.

I think the mx-5 is more of a "woman" convertible. I see more women driving mx-5, believe bc they offer them in auto.

Only one of my friends that has a 350z kinda makes jokes about mine being a girl car, just because it's a convertable. The funny thing is like an hour later he's like "hey lets go to the store real quick in your car", I just say okay, then once were in he says "lets put the top down"

I have a hardtop now though, but on nice days in the summer it will be coming off.

I get that from certain coworkers. All you have to do is point out to them that more soccer moms and highschool girls drive the car they drive than drive the S2000....they shut up quick.

Alternately you can take them for a spirited ride through the twisties, top down...the tune changes!

Hahahah, My brother told me I drove a girls car. he has a CTS-V. I took him for a ride and he shut up real quick. His response was "I think this might be faster than my caddy."

My girlfriend is the only one to say that so far, but I haven't had the car for long.

She's only said it once, I think because it went like this;
Her: I can't believe you bought an S2000, it's kinda a girls car
Me: Great, so you'll enjoy driving it then
Her: No! because it's stick! I can't drive it!

It's going to pretty much be a dedicated autocross car, and she's attended quite a few with me but kinda lost interest at the end of last season so I've been pushing her to drive.
