Nah, I've heard bad things about PayPal recently so I'm just going to air drop gold bars. I'll try to miss the S2000 parked beside the mobile home

Just try and drop them in the BACK yard so the neighbors don't pick them up ok?
It's so hard to tell in these trailer parks. Is the back yard the one with the spitoon and the Chevy truck on blocks, or the one with the banjo playing hillbillies in the swing chair and the cement pond?
LOL, lvs2k. Your standing down hill from that disaster.
If you don't think you can afford it, sell the house and live in the S2ook. Trust me, I don't have as much extra cash but, I do have a sh*t eatin' grin all the time.

The S2000 payments are easy. It's when in my case you combine the S2000, 99 Prelude, and killer insurance premium it tends to take more than one paycheck. Not for long though, I hope to lose the Prelude soon. That will save me $330 a month.
70-120K? Isn't that kind of a broad range? I'd say 70k is pushing it, assuming you don't have a big savings or brokerage account to draw from. Of course, your fixed costs need to be considered as well. If you net a few thousand per month of discretionary income after paying mortgage/rent, utilities, groceries and internet porn subscrip....uh...or you know what I mean, then you can comfortably afford a 35 thousand dollar sports car.
I think it will all depend on your fixed costs. If you're paying through the nose for housing (rent or mortgage in SF Bay area is hellish, by any standard) then 70-100k probably won't be enough unless you've got some decent change to throw on the downpayment. Just don't forget that in addition to the car payment itself, you've got to worry about insurance, gas, and all the mods that you'll inveritably want.
Manage your money and buy the car. I make less than 70k and I bought a stook. The stook is the only debt that I have and I'm fine with it. Decide how mouch you value a nice car and decide what you can afford. If I had a wife, kids, and a mortgage, I'd be driving an accord like everyone else.

Thanks to all of you who have responded. And no yu888, i have still yet to get a ride in one of the stooks. Song said he would tell me when he would be available, but he has not sent me email. And i don't want to look like a freeloader and keep bothering him. So if you, yu888, would like to give me a spin someday, i would totally dig it.
