I was thinking the same thing. When I was 17, I drove a Datsun 510 with 170,000 miles on the once rolled odometer!

I had a car like that.

95 Mitsu Eclipse GSX.

Bought it used.

First week rear ended to the tune of $3500 in damage

Get the car back from the body and the same wekk it gets broken into at work..

That did it for me, traded it in.

That car had bad Karma (no pun) and had to go...I say you do the same.

Looks like a new lining is around $270. I don't know how easy it would be to get one though.

A change in your screen name may be in order. Perhaps, "Schleprock"?

What'll you take for the kid, the car, and the hardtop?

i must agree with several on here. that is just a bad luck scenario for you. honestly, trade the car in, hard top on, piss and all, and get another one. new one. youll be amazed as the bad luck goes away. then next owner of the car, will most likely never have another problem.

my 02. picked it up, loved it, clutch was wasted when i got it, 2600 miles. they fixed it, then few weeks later, im showing a friend how to slide in the rain, a bit new to s2k, but rwd my whole life. end of the day 2 hours of pitching, i jumped on it GOING STRAIGHT... and ended up backwards over a curb. honda fixed it 6500$ later, i picked it up, 2 weeks goes by, a lady pulls out in front of me at 45 mph. totalled.
now i have a blue AP2 and havent had a single problem. car loves me.
later dave
