S2000 has "no" torque?!

When I came to the part of that article that described the VTEC transition at 7000 RPM, I realized that the whole test was a joke. If the writer can't even get the info correct, it loses it's "journalistic integrity" for me. Plus, I chuckled a little when the author made the comment that although the "S" was quciker on acceleration to 60 over the "Z", he still preferred the torque of the "Z". WTF??? Actually, I would like the "Z" roadster very much, just don't insult me with that fluff. At least if you're going to publish specs, get'em correct.
You want torque buy American. Yes, we have no torque, but I can still slaughter some cars with more torque and cylinders. Off the line too hahahaaa! So what?!?! There's a reason why they call s2k's torqueless "wonders".
yeah the s2k has a low torque rating at the crank, BUT the short gearing makes up for it.
i honestly thought the s2k was a slouch(before i actually drove one and just reading the stats over the net) but when i first drove one, all that "no torque" bs was just forgotten.
s2k is the ultimate car!

A couple of years ago when I first started to look at the S at the dealers, I asked the salesman about the torque. "Only 153 lbs.," I stated. "Don't worry about that," he said, "It has "kinetic energy."
Asif, if it is the "local forum" that I think you are talking about, then we both already know that the bulk of the membership in that forum is comprised of "children" or people who have never quite matured to the point that they can think for themselves - whose testoterone is their main mental catalyst. They are subject to misguided ideas about cars based on what "my bro told me". "He's been modding cars for over a year now, since he was 16. He knows EVERYTHING!
And of course, he attends the night street drag races on the east side of town, so he's with the "in" crowd who knows EVERYTHING!
