I honestly don't know which car turns more heads, my current S2000, or my former 01 Cobra. Now that my car is really really dirty, i'm not getting very many comments as when it was spankin clean. My paint is also chipped to hell all over the place around the wheel wells

It is really pissing me off, but I can't go anywhere without running into crappy ass construction. What's worse, is that these guys are taking their time and some of the construction has been going on since spring even though it's really minor. They don't even work at some of the sites everyday and just inconvenience us because the roads are partially cloased and there are rocks and dirt all over the place. My road is freshly paved, but it feels like driving on a gravel road right now due to all of the dump trucks going by messing things up. It rained hard today and I swear I saw a mudslide going down the road from the construction site upstream. I'm embarressed to drive my car right now because it looks like I went mudding in it since my whole street is mud and rock covered. I'm not cleaning it because as soon as I pull out of the driveway, it will get muddy again. Why in the hell does someone need 6 months to repave a very small section of road???????????????????

In a word, YES! More looks with top down than top up. Always getting compliments and thumbs ups. More looks and comments than when I had my '96 Cobra (even with the Borla exhaust.) I think the color makes a difference too.

man... i can't stand the "cute car" one!
sometimes the S2000 reminds me of that celica commercial... where it's parked ya know, and the old man tells it to slow down!
when i drive in my neighborhood i get all those stares at me and people give me a slow down signal only b/c the egnine's soooooo loud on 1 st at 6k rpms
in reality, my speedo says 20 something!

Take One:
Him: "Nice car, what is it?"
Me : "s2000"
Him: "s2000? Kewl, who makes it?"
Me : "Honda"
Him: "Honda?"
Me : "Yeah "
Him: "Who would have guessed? Looks great!"
Me : *smiles*

Take Two:
Him: "Nice car, what is it?"
Me : "Honda"
Him: "Honda makes a roadster?"
Me : "Yeah, since 2000"
Him: "Really looks great!"
Me : *thumbs up*

Sure is a fun car to drive!

*Cop gave me speeding ticket then started asking questions about car: Straight 6? I said 4 banger but pushes out 240 hp. How much? Around 32K. He then goes off and says it's a really nice car.

*All ricers stare as usual and rev up their engines and let me hear their exhaust when going the opposite direction??? Never get rev'd on when going same direction. Sometimes they see me way ahead, get a head start, zoom by me, then start weaving in and out of traffic(weird!)

*Somehow little kids love this car...I'm talking kids under 10. They actually stare, start pointing, and peak into the windows(maybe expecting to see Batman or some superhero sitting inside hehe.)

*Several comments from older ladies stating it's one of the most beautiful cars they've ever seen. One lady commented and said her son bought a Boxster but she said he should've gotten this one.

*Uncle thought car cost $50K when I had hardtop on.

*Driver in new M5 gave me thumbs up the other day.

*Etc, etc, etc...

I think that color has to do with it. But I get a lot of head turners and compliments from all kinds of people. I even had a girl immatate giving head to me when I was driving down town

I test drove a Spa yellow before ordering my Sebring. Induced massive whiplash around Seattle in that thing. Silver doesn't have near the same reaction - which is exactly why I bought silver.

I like the fact that most folks don't know what the h#ll it was that just passed them.

I have to agree with you, very few people seem to know what passed them when I zoom by them in my S2000. I get irritated when people call it a BMW or something absurd when it's a Honda.

Aside from the one time "Is that the new Miata?" comment, all have been positive. Whether it's women or mullet heads, the car does get attention. On a similar subject, I had my S at a recent autoX with my friend in a new Z. The Z received ALL of the attention...I guess I'll get used to it.

lig, same reason here...loved the red, but wanted to blend in a bit more and bought the Sebring Silver.
