Default S2000 Headlights

How come our headlights dont get the recognition they deserve. I have never driven a car with headlights that illuminate the street better than this car. I think in the next magazine sports car comparo they should throw that in as another section. Driving fast is much easier when you can see everything in front of you, right? Whaddya think?

Have you ever tried going down a hill on a road that turns and goes back up? You can't see a damn thing without your high beams on because of the sharp cut off. I think they're great if you're on flat ground but sometimes that sharp cut off is just too much and you can't see what's up ahead. Also, several people have talked about getting their car vandalized because people thought they were flashing them because of the cutoff. I get highbeamed all the time by people. The most I can do is turn on my brights to hopefully show them that my brights weren't just on.

Basically, they're OK but have their share of problems.

They are probably the best I've driven on flat roads, but like said above add some curves and hills and they fail to impress any longer. Kinda a disappointment for a car that begs for those types of roads.

Not by a long shot!
On a flat stretch of highway they are very good.
On a twisty section involving hills and trees they suck. Actually when I think of all the times they have bothered oncoming drivers on a flat section, they suck there too.
They look nice though.

I love them in all conditions. My commute takes me through 10-15 miles of fairly curvy highways, and I still love 'em, be it foggy, dark, or raining.

The high beams really need help. On back country roads the high beams don't project far enough to give me a warm fuzzy feeling that I will see things I need to avoid.

I had a '91 300 ZX, best high beams I have experienced. As near as I can tell, there was nothing special about the bulbs, but the setup sure did work.

Actually I remember reading an article about a year ago from Consumer Reports commending the S2000's HID lights as the best you can get. The article was adressing the issue if HIDs were better than normal halogens and the complaint from older drivers of HIDs being too bright.

However, Consumer Reports said the S2000 had the best illumination and the Audi TT had the worst.

my chick has an A6, i drive that thing at night and it's like your blind, i actually had to get out and make sure they were both on and working... both my cars have HID, cars are worthless without them.

As for high beaming other people. my lights typically look under people's cars in front of me, this thing sits so low it's tough to get youe lights in thier rear views....

If you look around, you will see that all the hid forums, etc, know the s2000's are some the best lights out there on any OEM vehicle.
