S2000 HID
Sorry I'm sorta new to s2000s and VERY new to HID.....but is this true? "Instead in america we get half assed HID like the S2000's which flashes up and down and scatters its beams because no cap or autobalancer" I like my headlights. I can see really well with them. Whats a cap or autobalancer in reference to HIDs?
autobalancers keep the beam level at all times. If you're going over a hill, it adjusts them so they don't point up into the air or straight at the ground as you go over the other side. Not sure what a cap is.
Anyway, HID's are not half assed. The S2000 has one of the nicest lighting systems around. They are super bright and some people think you're flashing them, but that's just the nature of the light. It's becoming more popular and people are more aware of them now.
I'm sure the guy in the quote would be happy with some nice yellow incadecent lighting for his car.

i know ill never drive a car with 'regular' headlights after owning the S. even if it doesnt come with HIDs stock, ill get aftermarket ones. my friend just got 10k for his Si, looks sick.

I've had HID/Xenons on my e46 BMWs, 350Z Track and now the S, and I don't think they're as nice as everyone makes it out to be. Once the road gets windy and/or the elevation changes, I find it hard to see at night with the S. I don't recall experiencing that with my other HID-equipped vehicles, at least to the degree that I experience with the S.

But I swap back and forth between my CRX and my S2000, and it really is like night and day. I can see much better with the S.
