I agree. If it's been well maintained, you shouldn't have any worries. But if it looks like it's been to hell and back, I'd keep looking.

One thing we ALL can agree on, no matter AP1 or AP2: Honda makes the best damn engines in the World!

If I ever needed a pacemaker, I would ask Honda to build it.

Even my Corvette buddies think so, though you still have to admire a 6.0L V8 that gets nearly 30 MPG.

Word? Are they stout? Hard to beat a Ford niner.

Hey, anyone remember in the last "weak gear" post that I mentioned shot peening? The new ads for the SC'd factory Miata mentions the gears are shot peened.

So ours must be as well - et tu, Brute?

95k for me!!!! Does that mean i can chime in?! So far the I replaced the sparks twice (once for recall), changed the clutch (another recall) at 35k, had a valve adjustment at 60k and changed oil at every 3k, diff fluid at every 10k, tranny at 50k and I have had no problems except for the spindle nut clicking for which I am going to fix very soon. Honda rocks!

I wonder if i have the highest mileage s2k?

3000 km on the Nurburgring circuit last year, a total of 87000km on the car as of now, MY '00.

No problems! There are a few rattles here and there from the soft top and seats, but no mechanical problems found everytime it's been at a $tealer. The only thing they find is blue brake discs from all the track use!

I also owned a '92 Acura Integra in the states that had nearly 250k miles on it with *again* no major problems!
