I really want a key with the s2000 logo on it...do they exist? I saw the 04/05 keys and liked it alot but the dealer told me that it would not work for earlier models because they changed it to laser cut or something of that sort. does anyone know more details about it??

 

The keys are absolutely different...imagine that instead of have a cast key, you have the mold of a new key (just inverted). You'd have to go as far as changing out the whole ignition. Maybe Rick Hesel can give you some tips to swap out the key's plastic parts.

 

Back in the day, some chap got a Japaneses S2K key and removed/inserted the chip from his oem key to make it work for his car. Seemed abit to expensive/dicey/ricey for me...but hey. What the eff do I know. Cheers.

 

Rick used to make key badges that were really cool...I actually bought them for my 01 key... not sure what ever happened to that???

Screw the key, get a bluetooth entry/ignation system (mega bucks!!!) just like the corvette has one.

It was like a mini version of the body badges he makes shaped to fit in that little area where the H is on your key...

 

Im pretty sure Hyperdimension has a JDM key for a 01-03 and it has the look of the 04/05 key. Ill see if he can post a pic.
